Hottest Heels 👠🔥

Don’t let your footwear be the last thing on your mind when choosing an outfit!

You can make a bold impact with a pair of shoes and getting the right style for you and what you’re wearing is key. Whether it is a chunky heeled sandal for comfy everyday wear or thin stiletto, there are so many different styles to try and enjoy.

Stepping into the new season we have seen plenty of new footwear trends straight off the catwalk. The stiletto is still thriving as well as seventies-inspired styles such as embroidery, and the spring/summer 2017 shoes collections are full of colour, glitter and patterns galore.

It is said a girl can never have too many pairs of heels and the higher the heel the closer to heaven! But getting the right height, comfort, colour or style is sometimes tricky for a lot of people. Need new heels? Time to update your shoedrobe and get ready for some inspiration here on Style Cloud.

Strappy Heels

Strappy heels are great for something subtle and non overpowering for your outfit. They go well with a simple slip dress but also look great teamed with a pair of jeans and a top. A chunkier heel is my go to for a casual look but also makes them a lot comfier to wear, which is why they are great for a day out. A thinner heel makes the shoe a lot more elegant and look perfect with dresses or skirt and top combos.

Lace Up Heels

The lace up trend has been around for quite a while now but I love it more than ever. Now spring is well and truly on its way we are seeing some new takes on this popular look, with not only the popular criss-cross style taking over but we can also see many with the tie around the ankle, taking it even further. Sometimes we even have lace up as high as the knee, but I have chosen not to include those as I want to focus on heels. Last season included skinny stilettos and metal eyelets, but we are now seeing a neater look with the tie up’s, rounded toes and a bolder block heel.

Court Heels

Pointed court shoes are the perfect way to look chic and sophisticated. They also dress up the simplest of outfits such as jeans and a top without looking too overdressed with the casual clothes. They are a timeless trend that are an elegant choice to enhance both your day and night look. Court shoes are now appearing in all colours, including stand out patterns such as leopard print and glitter. So, the choice is yours whether to stick with the traditional court or be courageous with your courts.

Patterned Heels

A patterned heel is a statement piece for your outfit. It is often just the accessory you need to complete your look, whether this be a floral embroidery, a glitter cover or animal print, it needs to be the right pattern to suit what you’re wearing perfectly and make it even better. Your mood can often also determine which pattern you will choose, so a flirty floral pattern can add a girly element to your outfit or maybe a bold animal print to bring out your wild side!

Fur Heels

Fur embellished heels are everywhere at the moment, and I love them! From Gigi Hadid to Kim Kardashian, this trend is popular and I think there are definitely more styles to come. Not only have we got fur lined straps, but we now see, straight off the catwalk, heels with fur foot beds, adding extra comfort to your heels. So, love it or loathe it, the fur footwear trend is here to stay.

Peep Toe Heels

Peep toe heels are a favourite of mine not only for at night but also in the day with a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. They are back and better than ever, but how do you style this trend? Thin stiletto heels are a contrast with the block coverage of the shoe, so these are a good pair for a classy night look. A block heel is a lot bolder and can sometimes act as more of a shoe boot, so these are perfect for in the day as they can be very comfy. It is all about choosing the right heel to compliment your outfit with the full coverage over the foot.

The Comeback Queen 👑

Cover Photo

It is just another trend that is creeping back from the 90’s and I have grown to love it: The Choker. This necklace makes me think of Spice Girls and Sabrina the Teenage Witch and now it is being seen on the necks of off duty models, everyday street stylists and even Kim Kardashian’s two-year-old daughter North! The choker is well and truly making a comeback.

Casual or dressy, the choker is becoming a part of a variety of outfits and not just on the runway. After being spotted on the autumn ’15 catwalk, this style is here to stay. All you need to do is look at Kylie Jenner’s instagram to know that this accessory is this year’s newest revival.

However, if you are like me and started off a bit unsure of the choker, don’t be afraid to give it a try. Much like an item of clothing, it is about finding the right one for you and your style. And don’t forget, it doesn’t just come in the form of a necklace. You can now find them as part of playsuits, jumpsuits and adding a bit extra to a simple top and skirt combo.

Here are some of the best choker looks of the moment…

Picking a playsuit means easy to wear and requires no effort for day or night. A choker playsuit is chic and sophisticated whether it be with a plunge front or an instant floral summer piece. Pair with either a pair of sandals for the daytime beach look or with a hot pair of stilettos for the night.

Much like playsuits, jumpsuits are a ready-made outfit and take minimal effort. I think they are super classy and can still be worn in the summer season. Getting the right colour is key and all other accessories need to match perfectly. Nude is always a good go to when picking accessories as this shade goes with most other colours.

One of this season’s must haves is a high-neck piece. So team this up with the favourite figure hugging bodycon dress and show off your shape and stand out. Either that or there is the shift dress. They are versatile and can be dressed up or kept casual for almost any occasion.

In the Day

In The Day

This statement trend is not just for the night. Wear your choker in the day, whether it is velvet or leather, or even has a pendant on it. They look great with a simple bomber jacket and jeans look, giving that extra detail and edge to your outfit. I like to take my black double woven leather bracelet from Pandora and turn that into a custom choker.

Love Lace Up’s ❤️

Lace Up Shoes

“Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world” – Marilyn Monroe

My favourite trend of 2016 so far has to be lace up shoes. For me, when it comes to shoes, the more straps they have the better they are for dancing in…

From being comfy in flats to a pair of statement heels, the lace up fastening is everywhere and I love it! Look smart with a pair of black lace up heels or dress down with a pair of comfy lace up sandals for the summer days.

Coming in a range of colours, I absolutely love how versatile the lace up style is. This trend has really taken off and has an edgy but classy look. They are an absolute must have and here are my favourites…

Flat Lace Up's

Flat lace up’s are suitable for any formal or casual occasions with the advantage of being so very comfy. A pair of black flats are great for the dressed up situations, as they are classy and elegant, whilst also going with most styles of clothing. A pair of nude or brown flats are perfect for the summer, looking great with a pair of light blue jeans and a casual white blouse.

Sandals Lace Up's

Lace up sandals are perfect for the moment and are a great addition to your wardrobe in the summer season. Choosing the right colour for your outfit is important so don’t mix dark colours too much with your lighter outfits. Pick a nude or a brown and save your dark pairs for a slightly cloudier day.

Heels Lace Up's

Heels are my favourite part of an outfit for a night out however it is so hard to find some that can make my feet last a whole night of dancing…But I think I have found the answer with lace up’s. Feeling more secure on my feet, they are comfy and easy to walk in. Adding a classy look to your dress or playsuit, they are easily suited to a variety of outfits.

Mini-Bag Madness: The New It-Bag for 2016 👛👜

Mini Bags

If you’re like me you will know the struggle of feeling like you need to take every item you own out with you in your bag. There was a time when bags were so oversized you could fit half of your house in there, and I will admit having a big bag means I fill it with things I won’t even need throughout the day.

But there is a new it-bag coming through for 2016. Mini-bags may look, well, mini but you’d be surprised at just how good they are for your daily needs. I am surprised at just how much I love this trend!

Whilst looking super stylish and easy to carry with a long shoulder strap, these magical mini’s can still fit your essentials such as make-up, hairbrush and water bottle!

Russell and Bromley Bag 2

And as well as being suitably casual for a day out they can also look perfect at night, teaming up as a classy clutch.

I think this is going to be a great trend, the idea of having an amazing bag but just a slightly smaller version. I am already seeing these a lot through the transition to SS16, with noticeable fans being the Waterhouse sisters. Both Suki and Immy Waterhouse have been spotted with mini bags, Suki with a beautiful red one at an awards ceremony and Immy with a blue shoulder one as part of her street style look.
